Layman’s version
- Suppose we have some(any) distribution.
- We take a sample of size $n$ and compute its mean and call it $\bar{x}$
- We repeat this process several times
- The distribution of $\bar{x}$ converges to a normal distribution as $n \rightarrow \infty$
